Types of Outdoor Child Toy Models.
There are many different types of outdoor child toy models that parents will want to purchase for their children. Parents should make sure that the toys they buy are age appropriate, will not break easily, and are toys the child wants to use often. Since outdoor child toys can be expensive, parents should buy toys that children really want to play with instead of what other children have or what is more or less expensive. Two or three outdoor toys are all a child will need. They can go to the park or visit friend’s homes when they want to play with something else. Depending on the size of the yard, only one or two toys will fit. Make sure there is enough room in the yard for the toys before purchasing them.
Types of outdoor child toy models include bicycles, dollhouses, swing sets, sandboxes, and toy cars. Children will play outdoors for hours on sunny days. These toys should be cleaned often by parents and children should wash their hands after playing outside. Children should be allowed to be creative and create outdoor toys of their own. Cardboard boxes, old chairs, and other items around the house can be used as toys. Parents will need to make sure that what their children are playing with is safe. An outdoor child toy can be made from anything, but should not injure children.
Road Trip Travel Toy: Slinky
Our third travel toy is the Slinky. My two year old found one in the car bag that my friend packed for him. He LOVES it! He actually has one in the car when we just drive around town, as well. He has one of the plastic ones, so he enjoys the color variations in addition to just loving the uniqueness of the toy in it’s own right.
Now, if I could just keep him from trying to pelt me in the ear with it while I’m driving, it would be a much better car toy!
RFID and Children: The World is Not Enough.
Children safety is not the only reason for using RFID technology in the children world. RFID technology has also found its way into the world of children education and entertainment as well.
Embedding RFID into toys for language learning, interactive toy kitchen that can detect and respond to toy food placed on its plate and hybrid gaming system are only a few from many other innovative ideas that have become popular.
If you think that children have already had enough exposure to RFID technology in the world, think again!
There is already a specific lesson designed for children that they can share opinions about the technologies used to identify them and monitor their activities, and then develop plans for new uses of RFID-enabled technologies to share with their classmates, and write essays persuading readers to use their proposed technologies.
Child's Play charity kicks off toy and game drive.
Child’s Play, a charity founded by the folks who run the popular online gaming-related comic strip Penny Arcade, announced today the launch of its fourth annual toy and game drive for kids in hospitals.
The charity combines an online drive, charity auction dinner and the sale of related merchandise like t-shirts and holiday cards to get video and computer gams, toys, books, movies, game hardware and game systems in the hands of sick children who have to spend their holidays in the hospital. One hundred percent of all proceeds go towards gifts for the use of children in the 28 participating hospitals around the globe.
Participating hospitals post their wish lists on Amazon and Dstore — those wishing to participate can select a specific hospital through the Child’s Play Charity Web site, then select an item or items they’d like to donate. Items include everything from classic kids’ toys like Play-Doh and Scrabble to Xbox 360, Nintendo and Sony game systems and games. Cash donations can also be made through PayPal, and ThinkGeek is offering t-shirts (and will soon offer holiday cards).
